Project summary
At the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, five 50T electric trucks are used to haul juice products to Innocent’s Blender factory. Innocent, a small juice and smoothie company, shows us that zero-emission trucks can and should be a critical part of a successful business model. The Blender, a 30,000 sqft factory floor in the Port of Rotterdam, is a first-of-its-kind carbon-neutral factory and zero-emission supply chain. In 2019, Innocent sought to transport their juices without any emissions. Today, after much planning and preparation, 99% of the orange juice runs have been done without emissions, following up on the company’s commitments to science-based targets and taking the lead on an endeavor that had never been done before.
