Summary:

This session brings together leading business and subnational government partners to discuss industry and government collaboration to enable a pathway towards 100% zero-emission trucks and buses. Recognizing the critical importance of industry and subnational government participation to reaching net zero by 2050, this session focuses on shared commitments, actions, and opportunities to speed ZE-MHDV deployment.

Key Outcomes: 

  • Raise awareness of new global effort and industry support for government action
  • Highlight leading businesses, subnational governments, and other key stakeholders leading the Drive to Zero
  • Reinforce the current reality and capability of ZE-MHDV technology
  • Strategize collaborative roles and actions needed to overcome strategic, political, and technical barriers to accelerate ZEV production and deployment
  • Identify additional efforts needed to enable the ZE-MHDV transition in emerging markets and lower income countries
