Drive to Zero Newsletter – March 2025

Program Updates

In the first quarter of this year, we saw strong leadership from our Global MOU signatories and endorsers, from large companies calling for UK regulatory action to Ethiopia’s commitment to install abundant highway charging. I’m thrilled about our Q2 plans to harness and accelerate this momentum with a strong eye toward powering our global zero-emission transport future.

We and our partners are launching the Global Green Road Corridors initiative, a first-of-its-kind collaboration among governments, nonprofits, and financial institutions to decarbonize the corridors that trucks and buses use to move people and the world’s goods from ports to hubs to cities.

Throughout 2025, we’ll examine how the varied zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicle (ZE-MHDV) stakeholders are working to decarbonize each corridor. We will also learn about the struggles these projects face and how allies can overcome them. Finally, we will identify tools, processes, and approaches to apply to other major corridors globally to accelerate the transition to zero-emission freight and transit. To learn more, register to join our webinar on the 1-95 corridor in the United States (March 27, 2025, at 11:00 am EDT / 3:00 pm UTC / 4:00 pm CET).
