Clean Commercial Transportation Update: July 17, 2020

“Monumental News and Electrifying Guests” was our headline for this week’s CCT Update where we featured the news of the landmark agreement of 15 states working together on aggressive zero emission truck and bus goals, building on California’s recently enacted Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) rule. Paul J. Miller, Executive Director, Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM), joined us live for an interview and live Q&A with our audience about the MOU and what’s next for the 15 states that signed up. We heard from Mary Nichols, Chair, California Air Resources Board in a recorded segment about the importance of the MOU and how it works with the ACT Rule. (Video of her full video is posted here.) Finally we heard from Sita Holtslag, Senior Advisor on Sustainable Mobility, Netherlands Enterprise Agency about Netherlands actions that mirror the ACT Rule and the 15-State MOU.
